I've set my DNS to Google/Cloudfare, checked running this on a LTE tethered network etc.
Additionally, sometimes "Riot Client" process with the red logo also comes in the activity monitor but it also terminates by itself. I've checked activity monitor and the "RiotClientServices" process comes and automatically terminates from the list so there is something wrong with the client. Upon running the installer, and hitting "Install 10.5GB", there is a progress bar saying "repairing" which fills up, and then the installer closes but the client doesn't boot up at all (which is what is supposed to happen, and the installation is supposed to continue within the client).
Cleared cache and temp files related to "RiotGames" but nothing worked so I deleted all files (including app support files from library) then downloaded the mac installer which is dated (July 13, 2020) from Riot Games's website. Since similar issue has happened to me before in years past, and usually it was fixed after clearing temp files or just re-installing, I did the same here. Suddenly, since yesterday the client refused to start up - the icon pops up on the dock but the splash title (League of Legends) doesn't come up and then the icon disappears from the dock after a few seconds. I've been regularly playing the game on my Apple Silicon M1 MacBook Pro for 3 months now (currently 11.2.2 Big Sur) without any issues and great performance. Trying posting here since this was removed from r/leagueoflegends.
